DOGGIES STRUGGLING IN 2008
The Doggies.
They are not doing very well this season. I think the loss of Big Willy does not help. They tried getting Lima from the Storm. But he stayed.
The point I have here is that there are several Storm players that stayed at there. At around contract renewal time.
If any players have gone, it is only because of salary cap pressure. Which Melbourne is a victim of it's own success me thinks.
That is maybe one the things that happenned to the Dogs.
The season they got points taken off for salary cap breaches which was 2002 or 2003, they had a good team. 2004 they won the NRL. Enough said there.
Whats happened since???
Anasta, Mason, Vagana, Asotasi, O'Meley.
All gone.
Ok. Not all of them left cause of salary cap pressure but it is a different question, same result.
You see, Melbourne managed to keep nearly all their players. For how long who knows?
But I don not see any of their players leaving any time soon.
How come???
Bulldogs, my belovered team, should maybe take a good look and the next time they have a good team, maybe do the same.
I do not mean ill well when I say this. This is a die hard Bulldogs fan wanting his team to go on the up.
So having said that, there is only one more thing for me to say.
Go Doggies!!!!!!!!
