FOLAU GOES TO BRISBANE!!!
March 31st 2008 12:43
Young Storm star Israel Folau dropped a bombshell his storm team mates didn't want to hear.
Especially after a 10-6 away loss to the Roosters. Which is the first time the Storm has lost 2 successive games in two years.
He is going back home at the end of the season.
But there is one thing just as bad, or worse, at the very least. It is the fact that the Storm have to play the remainder of the season knowing their star youngster will leave to the Bronco's at seasons end.
Not only that, Folau will be gone as of next season.
As a life long Doggies fan myself, I know the feeling when great players leave, as a fan.
From a fans perspective, I saw great these great Bulldogs players leave in the recent years: Willy Mason, Roy Asotasi, Braith Anasta, Mark O'Meley, Nigel Vagana and Jonathon Thurston.
What a loss!
It sucks the life out of you. It hurts me, the fan - just as much if not more - than it hurts the team itself. It's like being in a dark empty place all alone. You don't know your way around. You are lost.
And the only thing that will help you find your way is seeing your team win a premiership.
So I wander how the Storm would feel about losing Israel Folau?

But look at things this way. Folau leaves the storm cause his family is in Brisbane. What happens if Storm had a player like Folau who'se family is in Melbourne?
They'd have a champion player for a good 10-13 years or so. Problem solved.
The storm have heaps of depth to cover Folau. No offence to Folau, he's a gun player.
Yeah I reckon Storm a real go for the title this year!
