ROOSTER VERSUS BULLDOGS
April 3rd 2008 13:17
Round 4 of the NRL brings us to a match that has been hyped up.
The Roosters versus the Bulldogs.
The fact that Willie Mason is now at the Roosters is causing the hype.
On the news there was a bit of chit chat that Willie Mason left the Bulldogs because of the players. I'm not sure thats the case.
There was also chit chat when Willy left that it was over contract negotiations. Well, whether that is true or not, who knows?
I don't know what the truth is. Or what isn't for that matter.
As a big bad one eyed life long blue and white blood running through my veins supporter (LOL), this is something that isn't too easy, I'm guessing, for any supporter to have to say about their team, and I don't mean ill well when I say this, but the Bulldogs should have tried hard to keep him at the club.
The NRL isn't a game for individuals. There is no I in Team. But there is a Team in I. Which means that the NRL is a team sport.
Which gets back to my point. Willy is a darn good second rower, And if any club has a good player, then try and keep him, so you have a good team.
Whether Willy can be replaced or not I don't know, but thats not the point.
The Doggies should have tried to keep their team together, as should any other team. For the benefit of the team.
As for the hype. I think it counts for nothing.
I would not believe that there'd be any ill feelings between the Doggies players and Willy Mason.
No way.
