WORLD FOOTBALL WRAP UP
March 31st 2008 12:40
If you think the sweating stopped with round 3 of the NRL, you better think again!
The premiership in England is heating up. Six games to go. More crowd sweating. I'm sweating to much. My team, Man United is six points up on the head of the table.
Man United bet Aston Villa 4-0 at home. WOO HOO!
Arsenal made a miraculous comeback against Bolton at Reebock stadium. Coming from 2-0 down with one man down and thiry minutes remaining on the clock, they end up winning 3-2. The Gunners hadn't won at Bolton in their last five league attempts! What a way to fork out a first win! Sweat gallore!!!
In Greece, Aek defeated my team, Olympiakos, 4-0 in Athens. Which allows Panathinaikos to go top of the ladder. Olympiakos is now second and Aek third. My team copped four goals, and I sweated four times!!!
In Germany, Bayern drew 1-1 away to Nuremberg. But they remain six points ahead on top, as second placed Hamburg drew 1-1 with Arminia Bielefeld. Shalke remains third after a scoreless draw against Karlsruhe.
In Spain, second placed Barcelona made their fans sweat aplenty. They were 2-0 up. They then let 2 goals slip in a 15 minute spell in the second half to lose 3-2 away to Real Betis. Real Madrid, with a game in hand, lead the table by 4 points.
